aespa is one of the most prominent 4th generation South Korean K-Pop girl group from SM Entertainment, which debuted in 2020. The group consists of 4 members: Karina, Giselle, Winter, and NingNing.

They debuted on November 17, 2020, with the song Black Mamba, with the music video that expanded their sci-fi concept.

Biography and Fame

SM Entertainment came up with the idea of making a girl group with a unique metaverse concept. The four members do exist in the real world; each has a digital avatar called æ in a virtual world called KWANGYA.

aespa’s first hit song that made them skyrocket is Next Level, which debuted in May 2021. The track became a viral sensation, climbing global charts, and the dance routine was popular among children to adults in Korea.

Not only known for their songs and visuals, aespa members are also well liked because of their blunt and witty personality on variety shows. Their episodes on popular TV shows like Knowing Brothers and YouTube channel 할명수 (Halmyeongsu) got many views.
