Young Posse is a South Korean K-Pop girl group under DSP Media and Beats Entertainment. Debuted on October 18, 2023, they are known for the rebellious and hip-hop infused K-Pop sound.

The group consists of 5 members: Sunhye, Yeonjung, Jiana, Doeun, and Jieun. Their debut song, Macaroni Cheese (2023), is liked because of the “can-do” spirit, especially overseas.

Biography and Fame

Young Posse was first announced by DSP Media and co-produced with Beats Entertainment. They are marketed as a hip-hop influenced girl group that writes their lyrics, particularly for the rap parts, so the songs feel more sincere.

All the members are hip-hop fans, especially old-school rap. No wonder they incorporate this style into their music. The writing skills from the members are still rare in the K-Pop industry, which often heavily relies on the producers.

The name Young Posse is derived from Latin word “posse,” which means able or possible. So Young Posse means “a group of young people with a purpose.” The members hope they can inspire young individuals to achieve anything they set their minds to.

The group focuses on authentic 90s hip-hop sound, taking inspiration from icons like Biggie and Wu-Tang. The members also transition from hip-hop to punk, even sentimental ballads.

Since their debut, Young Posse has released quite a few songs. Some fans favorites are Young Posse Up (2024), On My Scars (feat. Lil Cherry, Dbo) (2024), Street Carol (2024), Cold (feat. 10CM) (2025), and LOSE YOUR SHXT (with BENZO) (2026).
