Apink is a K-Pop girl group that debuted on April 19, 2011, under A Cube Entertainment. They are known for their feminine and innocent concept, even got the title “Nation’s First Love” at the time.

The group consists of 5 members: Chorong, Bomi, Eunjoo, Namjoo, and Hayoung. They originally debuted as 7; however, Hong Yookyung departed in 2013 to focus on her studies, and Son Naeun departed in 2022 to focus on acting.

Their debut song, titled I Don’t Know (Mollayo), the album Seven Springs of Apink (2011), achieved success and attracted many fans.

Biography and Fame

A Cube Entertainment (now IST Entertainment) developed Apink with the sweet and innocent concept that stood out in their debut year, 2011. At the time, most girl groups came out with fierce or sexy concepts.

After their debut, their early success was with the song My My (2011), which made them win various rookie awards. But the song NoNoNo (2013) was the one that made them nationally known.

Known for their strong live vocals, especially with Eunji, who is often dubbed as one of the strongest K-Pop vocalists, Apink continues to be active as a 2nd generation K-Pop group, which is rare in the middle of 5th generation groups.

Their latest single, Love Me More, which came out in January 2026, received great success, as many people have missed the “old” K-Pop sound.
