VVUP is a four member South Korean girl group under EgoENT. Known for their diverse members, Kim from Indonesia, Paan from Thailand, Suyeon and Jiyoon from Korea.

The group debuted on April 1, 2024, with the digital single album, Locked On. Before that, they released a pre-debut single, Doo Doom Chit, on March 13, 2024, to get public attention.

Known for their strong live vocals, especially with the main vocalist, Kim, whose vocal range is wide with the experience of competing in The Voice Kids Indonesia.

Biography and Fame

EgoENT formed VVUP (pronounced “Be-Be-Up”) with members from different countries, bringing their specialties. Kim is from Indonesia and has experience in several vocal talent shows. Paan from Thailand dreamed of being an idol and joined as a trainee in 2023.

Suyeon is a former YG Entertainment trainee who is known for their strong performance. The original member, Hyunny, had to leave shortly after debut, in September 2024, due to personal reasons. Jiyoon was then chosen to replace her.

The name VVUP is derived from the letter “W,” standing for “win,” and “Up,” which symbolizes their goal to keep going up to the top of their music career.

VVUP gained significant traction in many Asian countries, especially Indonesia, before debuting, because of their pre-debut release, Doo Doom Chit. The audience thought that the song is catchy and the production quality is good. That way, they succeeded in gaining attention for their debut.

The main vocalist, Kim, is particularly well known for her impressive range (F3 to G5) and praised for handling fast-paced songs with stable vocals. Even her growl is considered to be comfortable to listen to, a skill that not all vocalists have.

After debut, VVUP gained notable fame in South America, specifically Brazil and Mexico. Their high quality production is often compared to the ones from big companies. In the crowded K-Pop industry, VVUP holds their image as a strong vocal group.

In 2025, the group released their first mini album, VVON. The album name is derived from “Vivid,” “Vision,” and “On.” It symbolizes their growth as artists since their debut days.
